LimitDecelDistance Parameter
Default Value: 4.0
Minimum Value: 0.0
Maximum Value: None
Units: distance
Type: double
Use the LimitDecelDistance parameter to define the maximum distance that the axis will travel when decelerating within an end-of-travel or software limit. The purpose of this parameter is to ensure that, regardless of the speed of motion, the deceleration into a limit is completed before reaching the hard stop. The deceleration rate implied by this parameter is compared to the rate set in the AbortDecelRate Parameter, and the faster of the two rates is used. If this parameter is set to 0, then the axis decelerates at the rate specified by the AbortDecelRate parameter.
Tip: When a fault condition occurs, deceleration always uses a linear ramp type.
