IMPORTANT: The controller generates an axis fault only if you set the corresponding bit in the FaultMask Parameter. When an axis fault is generated, you can configure what the axis does by changing the state of the corresponding bit in the FaultMaskDecel Parameter, the FaultMaskDisable Parameter, and the FaultMaskDisableDelay Parameter.
The FaultAckMoveOutOfLimit parameter specifies if an axis does or does not move when you acknowledge an end-of-travel limit fault or a software limit fault.
When you select Enabled, the axis moves out of the limit condition when you acknowledge a fault. The axis moves only if one of the faults that follow is active:
- CW/Positive End-of-Travel Limit Fault
- CCW/Negative End-of-Travel Limit Fault
- CW/Positive Software Limit Fault
- CCW/Negative Software Limit Fault
When the axis moves out of the limit condition, it moves at the speed that you specified for the HomeSpeed Parameter. To find the distance or time at which the axis clears the limit condition, the controller uses the value that you specified for the LimitDecelDistance Parameter or the LimitDebounceTime Parameter.
When you select Disabled, the axis does not move out of the limit condition when you acknowledge a fault.
