NOTE: Only Entity Skywriting shows on the canvas. The geometry for Shape Skywriting uses the execution order of the shapes and is not generated until you export to AeroScript or AeroBasic.
NOTE: When you export to AeroScript, all Bezier curves and splines are approximated with lines and arcs.
Use skywriting to get constant velocity programming. Skywriting inserts cubic Bezier curves between consecutive, non-tangent moves. When you use skywriting in your CADFusion project, either velocity blending mode is enabled in the AeroScript program that is generated or velocity profiling mode is enabled in the AeroBasic program that is generated. And, the Aerotech motion control system does not decelerate to zero between consecutive shapes and entities. To limit where skywriting transitions are inserted, you can specify a maximum break angle between consecutive shapes or entities, or you can override the transition settings on specific groups or shapes. For more information about Velocity Profiling mode, refer to the Automation1 or A3200 Help.
Add skywriting to your whole project, or add it to shapes or text in your project.
If some of the shapes or groups in your project do not inherit their shape transition settings, you must delete shape skywriting from individual shapes or groups and not from your project.
Edit shape skywriting for groups of shapes, shapes, text, and hatches. You can edit entity skywriting for combined shapes, text, and hatches.
Entity Skywriting inserts a Bezier curve between consecutive, non-tangent entities. It is applied only to combined shapes and text and is inserted between each connected entity.
Shape Skywriting inserts one or two Bezier curves between consecutive, non-tangent shapes. It is inserted in the transition move immediately before the shape to which it is applied.
