MotorPolePitch Parameter
Default Value: 0.0
Minimum Value: 0.0
Maximum Value: None
Units: None
Type: double
Use the MotorPolePitch parameter to specify the electrical properties of the motor that is connected to this axis. The value that you must specify for this parameter is determined by the MotorType Parameter. The sections that follow explain how this value is calculated.
IMPORTANT: Set the value of this parameter to zero when the MotorType parameter for this axis is DCBrush, TwoPhaseACBrushless, PiezoActuator, or Galvo.
When the MotorType parameter for this axis is ACBrushlessLinear, set the value of the MotorPolePitch to the number of millimeters per pole of the linear motor. This is the distance (mm) between the center of the gaps between the magnets on the track and corresponds to one half of an electrical cycle.
Figure: Example AC Brushless Linear Motor
When the MotorType parameter for this axis is ACBrushlessRotary, set the value of the MotorPolePitch parameter to the number of poles of the rotary motor. In the figure that follows, the MotorPolePitch should be set to 6.

When the MotorType parameter for this axis is StepperMotor, set the value of the MotorPolePitch parameter to the number of full steps per revolution of the stepper motor.
When the MotorType parameter for this axis is ThreePhaseStepper, set the value of the MotorPolePitch parameter to the number of full steps per revolution of the stepper motor.
