This table shows the value of the configuration for the parameter setting.
Table: Parameter Settings, Configurations, and Values
Setting | Configurations | Value |
---|---|---|
Feedback Input Channel | Position Command | 0 |
Primary Feedback | 1 | |
Auxiliary Feedback | 2 | |
Analog Input 0 | 3 | |
Analog Input 1 | 4 | |
Analog Input 2 | 5 | |
Analog Input 3 | 6 |
The
Position Command is the default. The controller uses the position command as the servo loop feedback, which is referred to as open-loop operation.
When you select Primary Feedback, the controller uses the feedback device that is connected to the primary feedback input on the drive.
When you select Auxiliary Feedback, the controller uses the feedback device that is connected to the auxiliary feedback input on the drive.
When you select Analog Input 0, the controller uses the feedback device that is connected to analog input channel 0 on the drive. The analog input is treated as an absolute position transducer.
When you select Analog Input 1, the controller uses the feedback device that is connected to analog input channel 1 on the drive. The analog input is treated as an absolute position transducer.
When you select Analog Input 2, the controller uses the feedback device that is connected to analog input channel 2 on the drive. The analog input is treated as an absolute position transducer.
When you select Analog Input 3, the controller uses the feedback device that is connected to analog input channel 3 on the drive. The analog input is treated as an absolute position transducer.
All Automation1 drives scale the analog input from the resolution of the hardware to 24 bits. Thus, the range of the analog input is -223 to 223-1 counts. Use the equation that follows to set your counts per unit:
Where:
SensorScaleFactor is the ratio of volts to units of the sensor connected to the feedback input.
Vmax is the maximum voltage of the analog input.
Vmin is the minimum voltage of the analog input.
Refer to the hardware manual for your drive to find the correct values for Vmax and Vmin.
