When you operate in cutter radius compensation mode, the CutterTolerance parameter prevents the controller from generating a short link arc around the outside corners of the part. In Figure: Cutter Tolerance - Outside Corner, the short link arc shows as motion from Point A to Point C.
During cutter radius compensation, if the angle between two moves on an outside corner is less than the value that is specified for this parameter, the controller executes an offset move and follows this path of motion. In Figure: Cutter Tolerance - Outside Corner, the angle between two moves on an outside corner shows as θ. The offset move shows as motion from Point A to Point B to Point C.
