Verify the HyperWire Card
After Machine Setup is complete, Automation1 Studio starts the controller. If the controller initialization succeeds, your HyperWire card is correctly configured.
Tip: In the Automation1 Console, you can use the hyperwire enumeratecards utility command to see the status of the HyperWire card in relation to the controller. Use this command to:
- See if the system detects the HyperWire card.
- See if the HyperWire card is under RTOS control or under Windows control (shows as "not under RTOS control").
Some problems that might occur while you configure your HyperWire card include:
- The card cannot be found when you try to pass it to INtime control.
- The card is not found during Machine Setup.
Make sure that the card was correctly inserted into the PCIe slot.
If Machine Setup cannot find your card, restart your PC.
IMPORTANT: A HyperWire PCI Express card is necessary only if you are using a PC-based controller. Drive-based controllers, such as the iXC4, already have a HyperWire port that can be used to connect other drives.
