VelocityCommandThresholdBeforeHome Parameter

Default Value: 0.0

Minimum Value: 0.0

Maximum Value: None

Units: velocity

Type: double

IMPORTANT: The controller generates an axis fault only if you set the corresponding bit in the FaultMask Parameter. When an axis fault is generated, you can configure what the axis does by changing the state of the corresponding bit in the FaultMaskDecel Parameter, the FaultMaskDisable Parameter, and the FaultMaskDisableDelay Parameter.

Use the VelocityCommandThresholdBeforeHome parameter to define the maximum velocity that can be commanded on an axis if the axis is not homed. If the axis is not homed and the velocity that you command on the axis is more than this threshold, then the Max Velocity Command Fault occurs. If the axis is homed, then the Max Velocity Command Fault occurs when the velocity that you command is more than the value of the VelocityCommandThreshold Parameter.

If you do not need to have a different maximum commanded velocity before the axis is homed, then set the VelocityCommandThresholdBeforeHome parameter to zero, and it will use the value of the VelocityCommandThreshold Parameter.
