Before you use the PrimaryEncoderRadiusThesholdLow parameter, do the steps that follow.

Before you use this parameter

  1. Set the FeedbackInput0 Parameter or the FeedbackInput1 Parameter to Primary Feedback.
  2. Set the PrimaryFeedbackType Parameter to one of the values that follow:
    • IncrementalEncoderSineWave
    • AbsoluteEncoderEnDatwithSineWaveIncremental
    • AbsoluteEncoderBiSSwithSineWaveIncremental

The PrimaryEncoderRadiusThesholdLow parameter sets the value of the low threshold for the encoder radius. If the encoder radius goes below this threshold, the controller generates a FeedbackInput0 Fault or FeedbackInput1 Fault.

The value of the low threshold corresponds to the percentage of the maximum input value that the controller can detect. The optimal encoder radius is 90 percent of the maximum input value.

If you set the PrimaryEncoderRadiusThresholdLow parameter to a value less than 10 percent, the controller continues to use 10 percent as the minimum threshold for the encoder radius.
