AutofocusDeadband Parameter

Default Value: 0.0

Minimum Value: 0.0

Maximum Value: 10.0

Units: volts

Type: float

HARDWARE: Autofocus does not apply when used with the GI4, the GL4, or the XL4s.

Use the AutofocusDeadband parameter to define the deadband value for the autofocus input in volts. The value of this parameter defines an input range relative to the AutofocusTarget Parameter value for which no autofocus control loop motion will occur because of the error. If the autofocus error is in the deadband and you have a non-zero value set for the AutofocusGainTff Parameter, autofocus motion from the feedforward path will still occur if you change the target value.

Because the autofocus target is specified in volts, if you have the AutofocusInput Parameter configured for the Auxiliary Encoder Input, you can use the AutofocusEncoderScaleFactor Parameter to specify the volts per encoder count of the auxiliary feedback value.

You can use the In Position bit of the DriveStatus value to see if an axis under autofocus control has moved within the specified deadband.
