AutofocusInput Parameter

Default Value: 0

Minimum Value: -1

Maximum Value: 9

Units: None

Type: int

HARDWARE: Autofocus does not apply when used with the GI4, the GL4, or the XL4s.

Use the AutofocusInput parameter to select the value to use as the input to the autofocus loop. To see the structure of the autofocus loop and guidance on tuning, refer to the Autofocus Functions topic.

Analog Output 0

When you select Analog Output 0, the value of the autofocus input becomes equal to the value of analog output 0 in volts. You can use this setting to test the autofocus response to analog output voltages that you want to specify. To specify a voltage for analog output 0, use the AnalogOutputSet() function.

Analog Input 0-7

When you select an analog input, the value of the autofocus input becomes equal to the value of the specified analog input, in volts. The input that you select must be a physical analog input on the axis.

ZHS Input

This setting is for internal Aerotech use only.

Auxiliary Encoder Feedback

When you select Auxiliary Encoder Feedback, the value of the autofocus input becomes equal to the value of the auxiliary feedback position, in counts, as scaled by the AutofocusEncoderScaleFactor Parameter. You can use the DriveSetAuxiliaryFeedback() function to manually set the value of the auxiliary feedback position.
