White Noise Disturbance
The disturbance signal for the White Noise input type is pseudo-random white noise that has an equal frequency distribution. This input type gives you the fastest measurement time because it measures all of the frequencies at the same time. But the response might have a lot of noise at low frequencies where there are many frictional effects.
Tip: The White Noise input type can help you if one of these conditions occurs:
- You are trying to stabilize an axis that is currently not stable because it has a lightly-damped mechanical resonance.
- You are trying to reproduce a holding current to simulate in-position stability.
