Feedback Control Effort
The feedback path of the controller calculates a Position Error signal (e
) by subtracting the measured axis position feedback (y
) from the specified position command (r
) that you want. The feedback controller block (C
) in the feedback path calculates mathematical operations on the Position Error signal based on the servo gains and the servo filters. As a result, it calculates a feedback control effort (uC) that moves the Position Error near 0
.
The feedback path continuously monitors the position error and updates the control effort. This lets the feedback path correct unexpected disturbances that occur during operation.
