Feedback Control Effort

The feedback path of the controller calculates a Position Error signal (e) by subtracting the measured axis position feedback (y) from the specified position command (r) that you want. The feedback controller block (C) in the feedback path calculates mathematical operations on the Position Error signal based on the servo gains and the servo filters. As a result, it calculates a feedback control effort (uC) that moves the Position Error near 0.

The feedback path continuously monitors the position error and updates the control effort. This lets the feedback path correct unexpected disturbances that occur during operation.
