Known Problematic PC Models
You cannot use most commercially available PC models with A3200. This page includes a list of PCs that have been tested and do not work with A3200. This list is for reference and does not include all PCs that may not work with A3200.
Known Problematic Models

Lenovo, HP, and Dell models that use an Intel® 8th generation processor or newer

Other than the Lenovo P340 and Lenovo P360, there are no Intel® 8th generation or newer Lenovo, HP, or Dell PCs that have been confirmed to have satisfactory performance.

All recent consumer PC models have EFI booting, not legacy booting. EFI booting can lead to System Management Interrupts in Windows, which can affect real-time performance.

The models that follow are known to have poor performance:

Dell Precision 3630 Tower

Dell Optiplex 7080 MFF

All notebook or laptop computers

Laptop and notebook computers have power saving and processor throttling features that cannot do real-time performance.

PC models with Xeon W or Xeon Bronze/Silver/Gold/Platinum processors

These are scalable processors and the architecture causes real-time performance issues.

Dell Precision Tower 5820

This PC is known to have very poor performance with both EFI and legacy booting.

This PC uses an 8th generation Intel® processor.

This PC will produce System Management Interrupts under Windows, which can result in unacceptable real-time performance.

This PC model is not the same as the older Dell Precision Tower 5810 model, which is a legacy PC that had good performance.
