ExternalFaultAnalogInput Parameter

Default Value: -1

Minimum Value: -1

Maximum Value: 7

Units: None

Type: int

IMPORTANT: The controller generates an axis fault only if you set the corresponding bit in the FaultMask Parameter. When an axis fault is generated, you can configure what the axis does by changing the state of the corresponding bit in the FaultMaskDecel Parameter, the FaultMaskDisable Parameter, and the FaultMaskDisableDelay Parameter.

The ExternalFaultAnalogInput parameter specifies an analog input that is monitored to generate an external fault. When the value of the analog input that you select for this parameter is greater than the value specified in the ExternalFaultThreshold Parameter, the controller generates an external fault.

The controller can also generate an external fault based on a digital input. To configure this fault, use the ExternalFaultDigitalInput Parameter. When the External Fault bit is set in the FaultMask Parameter, the analog input specified by the ExternalFaultAnalogInput and the digital input specified by the ExternalFaultDigitalInput are monitored to generate an external fault.

The I/O mapping of the drive you are using can limit how you configure analog and digital inputs on a fault condition. For information about how I/O is mapped to different drive types, refer to I/O Functions.
