Text Shapes
When you add text, the text shapes show in the Project pane under the root Shapes node with the other shapes that you add. Refer to Shapes and Entities.
Text shapes are almost the same as other shapes, but they have these differences.
- Text shapes have different properties and settings than other types of shapes. For example, use the Line Style property to specify how the text is drawn.
- Outline draws the outline of the characters.
- Centerline draws a single-stroke version of the characters, like handwriting. When it is necessary, Centerline is calculated from the Outline and is cached. The first time Centerline is used for each character in a font, a short delay might occur before the character is drawn on the canvas.
- When you import a DXF or DWG file that has text shapes, the properties that follow do not import and are ignored. Refer to DXF and DWG Files.
- Slant/oblique angle property.
- Backwards and upside down properties of the text.
- Backwards and upside down properties of the font style.
- CADFusion does not support multiline text. Each line of text is imported as one text shape.
- You cannot combine text shapes with connected shapes. Refer to Combine Shapes.
- If you divide text into shapes, you cannot edit it as text. Refer to Explode Shapes.
- Lead moves are applied to each shape that is part of the text. Refer to Lead Moves.
- Outputs are applied to each shape that is part of the text. Refer to Add Outputs.
