Perpendicular Line Hatch Styles

Use perpendicular line hatch styles to add a hatch with lines to a shape. The lines in the hatch are perpendicular to the border of the shape.

To add or edit hatch styles, use the Catalog tab of the Catalog Manager. For more information, refer to Add Hatch Styles or Edit Hatch Styles.

Hatch Style Setting	Description
Hatch Style Name	The name of the hatch style. Each hatch style in your project must have a unique name.
Line Distance	The distance between the hatch lines at the point where each line intersects with the border of the shape.
Inward Offset Distance	The distance that each hatch line extends in to the shape, starting at the border of the shape. The full length of each hatch line equals the sum of the values of the Inward Offset Distance and Outward Offset Distance.
Outward Offset Distance	The distance that each hatch line extends out from the shape, starting at the border of the shape. The full length of each hatch line equals the sum of the values of the Inward Offset Distance and Outward Offset Distance.
