Controller Support

The list that follows includes support information for Automation1 2.7 and newer and Automation1 2.6 and older.

  • Automation1 2.7 and newer: The Advantech AIMB-788 requires INtime 7, which is automatically installed by the Automation1 iSMC installer if INtime is not currently on the PC.

  • Automation1 2.6 and older: The Advantech AIMB-788 can have problems because of the version of INtime that comes with Automation1 2.6 and older. Contact AerotechGlobal Technical Support for instructions on how to manually apply a custom INtime 7 upgrade so that this PC works with Automation1.

Windows Support

  • This PC is configured with Windows 11 IoT Enterprise 2024 LTSC so that you have more control over automatic updates.
  • Trusted Platform Module (TPM) is disabled in the BIOS so that Automation1 will have good real-time performance. You will not be able to use features that depend on TPM, such as BitLocker or drive encryption.

  • Intel (VMX) Virtualization Technology and VT-d are disabled in this BIOS to disable Windows features that are incompatible with INtime, such as Windows Virtualization Based Security (VBS).
