Mounting and Cooling
The drive must be installed in an enclosed control cabinet suitable for installation of power equipment. A minimum enclosure rating of IP54 is required to comply with safety standards. Make sure that there is sufficient clearance surrounding the drive for free airflow and for the routing of cables and connections. Consideration for items such as line reactors, line filters, and motor chokes or inductance should be made during the initial cabinet design phase.
IMPORTANT: Airflow Requirements

The amount of airflow required to keep the drive temperature within a sufficient range is dependent on the operating conditions. You could be required to supply additional airflow to the drive.

There are fans on the left and right sides of the unit and perforations on the top and bottom of the unit. The left side fan blows air into the power amplifier heat sink. The right side fan cools the logic hardware. The forced air exits through the top and bottom perforations.
