AutofocusHoldInput Parameter
Default Value: -1
Minimum Value: -1
Maximum Value: 23
Units: None
Type: int
HARDWARE: Autofocus does not apply when used with the GI4, the GL4, or the XL4s.
HARDWARE: On the iXR3 and XR3, you can use this parameter only on the first axis because all digital inputs are connected only to the first axis.
Use the AutofocusHoldInput parameter to select a digital input that holds the output of the autofocus loop. The input must correspond to a physical input. Select Disabled to turn off the autofocus hold function. Use the Hold Input Polarity setting of the AutofocusSetup Parameter to specify if the input is Active Low or Active High.
When the selected digital input is at the active level, which is specified by the Hold Input Polarity setting of the AutofocusSetup parameter, the output of the autofocus loop stops changing, and the axis stops moving but remains under autofocus control. After the input returns to the inactive level, the motion of the axis continues under autofocus control. This is similar to the way feedhold works but has an effect only on the autofocus loop.
