Before You Start the Migration Process

Thank you for your interest in Automation1 by Aerotech. This guide walks you through the steps that are necessary to migrate your system from A3200 to Automation1. Before you start, you must make sure that your system is compatible with Automation1. If you answer no to one or more of the questions that follow, then you cannot migrate to Automation1.

Can I Migrate My A3200 System to Automation1?

  1. Does my A3200 system use only HyperWire drives? HyperWire drives that are compatible with your A3200 system include the GL4, XC2, XC4, XC4e, XL4s, and the XR3.

    2. IMPORTANT: FireWire drives and cables are not compatible with Automation1.

  2. Is my A3200 system running A3200 6.04? You can migrate only the latest version of A3200 6.04 to Automation1. First, you must upgrade your A3200 system to 6.04. Then you can migrate your A3200 system to Automation1.

If you answer yes to all the migration questions, then you can start to migrate your A3200 system to Automation1.
